mr. corey arnold is fishy.

but i like it.

living in ballard means i wake up to the deep sound of boats honking to ask to have the bridge let up.  i get to ride my bike next to the fishing piers every morning and i can smell the ocean from my porch.  my harbor is full of giant-scaled, familiar-but-foreign, colorful things, just like these photographs.  corey arnold is a fisherman and a photographer, and while there’s something incredible about a photograph of a big fish, there’s something SPECTACULAR about a photograph of a big fish that’s taken well.  if you’d like to know more about the fishin’/photographin’ life there’s an awesome interview with him here.  peruse his site here and purchase his new book here.
